PayPal, the fintech giant, is launching a new yield offering for its dollar-backed stablecoin PYUSD. US users will earn 3.7% annually by holding PYUSD in PayPal or Venmo wallets. The yield will accrue daily and be paid out monthly, with no need to lock up funds. The program is set to launch this summer, aiming to attract more users to PayPal’s crypto ecosystem. PYUSD was launched in 2023.
